It's been almost two years since I stepped away from my role as lead web developer at an interactive design agency here in Seattle and returned to freelance work. In a post I wrote, I talked about wanting to work with a more creative mix of clients on a personal level, whether they needed a fresh portfolio, an online shop, or a blog/publication.
That move opened doors in a few unexpected ways. My work even grew to the point of allowing me to retire the Underlost XYZ name in favor of Boredable. The change wasn't just cosmetic. It allowed me to split in my schedule: part of my week is still devoted to larger companies I have known and worked with for years, while the rest is reserved for smaller, experimental projects that thrive on quick feedback and hands‑on guidance.
Writing code remains a core passion and hobby, yet the real excitement comes when I help someone launch a product and they ring up their first sale, land a new subscriber to their blog, or secure a new role because the portfolio they built showcases their talent.
Over time, my work has gone beyond just building websites. I've been organizing brand labs, helping improve UX, SEO and marketing, reviewing infrastructure, and even broader help, like server setup, sales strategy, and even how to incorporate AI. So I decided to wrap that range of support into a single program called the Launch Lab!
If you visited my site earlier this year, you might have noticed these options quietly listed on a few pages. After a soft launch and gathering early feedback, I'm ready to introduce them officially. Best of all, I offer a variety of tiers, making it affordable for my help, starting at just $99 a session:
Starter
The Starter is ideal when you have a landing page or modest portfolio and want professional feedback. I study your site, benchmark it against peers, and send a report that highlights strengths and flags improvements that can lift credibility and traction. We wrap up by having a quick Q&A session about anything from my successes and failures to suggestions for the next steps you should take for your website, portfolio, or even career.
Small Sprint
Best for teams that notice slow pages, slipping sales, or sporadic bugs. I audit site performance metrics, sales flows, and other trends. Then I will walk you through the findings. We finish with a clear path forward and prioritize what you and your team should do next.
The Essentials
A monthly partnership that helps solo founders or small teams develop new content, improve search ranking, or clean up their product roadmap. Starting at $670 per month, the engagement includes unlimited email support and optional weekly check‑ins with me.
Accelerator
For companies that need continuous development and fast feature delivery. I help build complex new functionality, refine infrastructure, and handle smaller requests on demand, sometimes balancing multiple projects or features at once. Unlimited email, weekly calls, and real‑time chat keep progress visible.
Not sure what’s best for you? I still offer the same hourly rates for projects of all sizes!
